There was an algae treatment done today by Professional Lake Management. Please read the green sign left in your yard as to any restrictions for water use.
We need your feedback!
Many of us have noticed the poor quality of the lake. We did not experience any long term effects from the algae treatment on July 1. After 3-4 days the lake deteriorated again. Since then we have had cooler nights and days, which usually keeps the lake from producing more algae. But there has been a lot of rain which can increase the external loading of nutrients from the runoff from the roads and fields.
Would you give us your opinion of how effective this treatment has been by you? crockerylakeassociation@gmail.com
The chemical treatments we use are just a bandage for a more serious nutrient problem. Are you interested in treating the cause of the problem and not just the symptoms? Please give us your feedback so we can make the best decisions for our lake. All input will be given to Dr. Jennifer Jermalowicz-Jones from Restorative Lake Sciences who is testing our lake and will create a plan for remediation.
