CLA Annual Member Meeting and Weed Treatment This Week

Reminder that the CLA Annual Member Meeting will be this Wednedsday, May 20, 2026 at 7pm at the Chester Township Hall.

Our featured speaker will be Adam Reed. Adam Reed and Kristy along with daughter Sedona, two dogs Kylo and Boo and cat Jarvis  have been part of the Crockery Lake community since September of 2024. Grand Valley is where he did his undergrad and ended up getting his masters degree in Earth Science. He is currently a science teacher in the Spring Lake school district. He teaches 10th grade level Earth Science class and a college level Environmental Science class. His expertise is bringing scientific literature and data to a demographic who is being exposed to it for the very first time. He cares wholeheartedly about the health of the ecosystem in which we all are part of: the Grand River watershed.

WEED AND ALGAE TREATMENT THIS WEEK

PLM is planning to administer a weed and algae treatment to ONLY the affected areas of the lake this Wednesday, May 20, 2026. If you do NOT see a sign posted on your lakefront it means the weeds were not invasive at your location. It is recommended to not use the lake water for watering your lawn that day. And do not let your pets drink from the lake.
