This sign has been posted by Ottawa County Parks Department by the beach at Grose Park. There will be another one by the boat launch as a precaution.
Ottawa County Parks has been testing the lake for E-Coli every 2 weeks and found unusually high volumn in yesterdays testing. They tested again today and will have those results tomorrow morning and will let the CLA Board know the results. They will also retest again tomorrow morning and possibly add another test location on the south side of the lake.
Ottawa County Parks and Recreation and Ottawa County Health Department have been notified, as well as Chester Township.
For anyone that has already been in the water it is recommended that they monitor for gastrointestinal symptoms such as upset stomach, vomiting, or diarrhea. Rashes or skin irritation can also occur.
